Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally

TheOne stores all your task data locally on your device using iOS AsyncStorage. This includes:

• Task descriptions (both original and AI-refined versions)
• Task completion status
• Task history

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

AI Processing

When you use the AI refinement feature, we process your task text through our API to provide intelligent suggestions. This involves:

• Sending your task text to our secure server
• Processing it through OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model
• Returning the refined 3-word task to your device

We do not store, log, or retain your task text after processing. The text is immediately discarded after the AI refinement is complete.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Device identifiers
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Contacts or photos
• Any other personal data

Third-Party Services

OpenAI

We use OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini API to power our AI refinement feature. When you use this feature, your task text is sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's privacy policy can be found at: https://openai.com/privacy

We have configured our integration to ensure that OpenAI does not use your data for training their models.

Vercel

Our API is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) for infrastructure purposes. Vercel's privacy policy can be found at: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:

• All API communications use HTTPS encryption
• Task data is stored securely on your device
• We do not maintain user accounts or databases
• No data is shared with third parties for marketing purposes

Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Delete Data: Uninstalling the app removes all stored data
• Access Data: All your tasks are visible within the app
• Control Processing: You can choose not to use the AI refinement feature

Children's Privacy

TheOne does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not require any personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
